The Fodice Foundation is a grassroots organization seeking non-profit status. The foundation and its residency program are being established to foster artistic development and support arts education and advancement in the state of Texas.
The Fodice School is located two hours northeast of Houston, Texas. It was built in 1938 and is a standing reminder of African American life in the years after the Civil War. This magnificent example of early Texas architecture served an all black community up until the early 60's. Once brought back to its original glory, our goal is to draw some much deserved attention the history of the Fodice community and to continue its legacy of education in the most inspiring ways possible.
